Doushin Butoh

Doushin Butoh was created by Gadu Doushin in order to explore the hidden potential of human body. Using movement meditation techniques from Spring Forest Qigong and body awareness techniques from Subbody Butoh, Doushin Butoh allow the practitioners to go deep into a meditative state and explore their body in a whole new way. By surrendering themselves to the flow of the universe, Doushin Butoh practitioners restore the natural flow of Qi in their body and heal and develop themselves physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Butoh

Butoh is a contemporary Japanese movement art form that began in the late 1950's. It originated as an anti-establishment, anti-traditional dance theater, Butoh explores the relationship between our mind and body, and it questions our society's perceptions of the body and the idea of "beauty." Though it is considered as an underground art form, Butoh is practiced all over world.
